A Night at the Opera
weather report for January 20th; cold, gradual clearing. A high of 40 degrees.The ride downtown was uneventful but a headwind slowed Mimi down. We had Sushi for lunch ![]() After lunch, we still had an hour before we needed to be at the opera, so we went by the Experience Music Project ![]() In the opera house long before start time, we took a look around. We danced with the statues ![]() ![]() Examined the sculptures ![]() and then went in and sat down ![]() Donald looked so official that people thought he worked there ![]() The opera, Pagliacci, was wonderful, we ate chocolate and Donald cried and then we had to ride home. It was getting dark, and there was a lovely sunset This is the Smith tower, which was the tallest building in Seattle for many years ![]() The sun caused a fiery glow in the west ![]() which then turned pink ![]() A last view of downtown.
